L298N DC Motor Driver Module
If you intend to build your own robot, you’ll need to understand how to control DC motors. The L298N DC Motor Driver Module interfaced with the Arduino is the simplest and most cost-effective approach to controlling DC motors. It can control the speed and rotational direction of two DC motors.
The L298N DC Motor Driver Module is also perfect for usage in battery-powered smart automobiles, toy cars, and robotics. Supply voltage 2V 10V, may drive two DC motors or a 4-wire 2-phase stepper motor, can achieve forward or reverse rotation, and the rotation speed can be adjusted. Each can deliver a 1.5A continuous current, up to 2.5A peak current, thermal protection, and can be automatically restored.
Key Product Features:
- The use of an imported original chip, a built-in low on-resistance MOS switch, minimum heat, no heat sink, tiny size, and low power consumption make this device perfect for battery power.
- It features Dual 1.5A x 2 and a max current of 2.5A.
- There is also a built-in thermal protection circuit, no need to worry about motor stalling, and automatic recovery after temperature drops.
- L298N DC Motor Driver Module is an appropriate choice for your automobile model because of its small size, lightweight, and 0 standby current.
- Thermal protection and automated restoration.
Specifications:
- Driver IC: L298N
- Single Operating current: 1.5A
- Peak Current up to: 2.5A
- Signal input voltage: 1.8-7V.
- The module supply voltage: 2V-10V.
- Signal input voltage: 1.8-7V.
- Low Standby Current: less than 0.1uA
- The mounting hole diameter: 2 mm.
- Product Size: 24.6 x 21 x 5mm
Precautions:
- The circuit will almost probably be damaged if the power positive and negative are flipped.
- If the output is shorted to ground or the output short circuit, and the motor stalls, the chip will heat protect, but if the voltage is near or exceeds 10V and the peak current is larger than 2.5A, the chip will burn.
